Hi, friends! I'm writing to you from California this week. My sister and I are staying with our brother, Tim, who lives about an hour east of L.A. Tim took the week off from work, so it's a siblings vacay—a first for the three of us! So far, we've explored San Diego, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, relaxed at the pool, binged on Friends and had the most delicious food and treats. (I'll share some of my favorite spots we visited in an upcoming post!) It's been a great mix of trying new things and places and laying low. We've had a few expected sibling squabbles, heehee, but overall it's been a blast. I'm really grateful to have my sister and brother in my life.
Now, about this dress! I saw it a few months ago in Gap and knew I could wear it to work or on weekends, which is key for me. I'm not a big dress person (my go-to year-round is usually denim and a tee), but this dress turned out to be the coolest thing to wear on humid, 90 degree NYC days, literally!
It's all in the loose-fitting, easy style. Cinching it at the waist helps to define my figure a bit, but this dress could easily be worn as a shift without the belt. The bomber adds a pop of color and a very necessary layer to ward off the A.C. chill in restaurants and at work. I linked this dress (it's on sale for $30!) and a few other breezy styles below.
